In the last ten years, we’ve gotten some great collaborative albums and mixtapes from some the most iconic artists in the world. Kanye West and Jay-Z teamed up for Watch The Throne. Drake and Future came through on What A Time To Be Alive. Those classics have inspired rappers and artists to join forces and attempt to create the next collaborative masterpiece. Perhaps we’ll be looking back at this one with rose-colored lenses.
Chris Brown and Young Thug announced several weeks ago that they would be working together on a new mixtape but nobody knew when it would be arriving. Would it take days, weeks, months, or years? Thankfully, we did not have to wait too long because, dropping on Chris Brown’s birthday, the duo has ficially released Slime & B.
Complete with thirteen songs and features from Future, Gunna, Lil Duke, E-40, Too $hort, and more, this has all the makings the next great collaborative project from two the most impactful artists the last generation. Considering the fact that this was seemingly thrown together at the last minute during quarantine, that makes this all the more impressive.
