1. Starbucks Is Green-Friendly

Starbucks was originally founded in 1971, but only has been environmentally friendly for the past few decades. In 1999, the company decided to implement their “Grounds for your Garden” policy that gave away free cfee grounds to whoever needed them for composting. Several years later in 2004, Starbucks took another step forward and decided to make cups and plates lighter, lessening their annual trash production by 1,800,000 pounds. The following year, they earned the National Recycling Coalition Recycling Works Award for their practices, and they haven’t looked back since.
