Throughout Wednesday evening’s episode Jimmy Kimmel Stay!, New Line Cinema determined to premiere the primary trailer for its upcoming Shaft reboot, starring Samuel L. Jackson.
The movie, which is a sequel to the 2000 remake, finds Shaft’s son (Jessie Usher) surprisingly coming again into his life and needing his dad’s assist. It follows JJ, aka John Shaft Jr., making an attempt to uncover the reality behind his greatest buddy’s premature demise, asking and needing some assist solely his father can present. The outline for the film reads: “Absent all through JJ’s youth, the legendary locked-and-loaded John Shaft (Jackson) agrees to assist his progeny navigate Harlem’s heroin-infested underbelly. And whereas JJ’s personal FBI analyst’s badge might conflict together with his dad’s trademark leather-based duster, there’s no denying household. In addition to, Shaft’s acquired an agenda his personal, and a rating to settle that’s pressional and private.”
The film is ready to star Regina Corridor, Alexandra Shipp, Matt Lauria, Titus Welliver, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, and Avan Jogia.
