Rob Gronkowski Gets Roasted On WWE Monday Night Raw: Video

Gronkowski was just minding his own business.

It’s been a sad couple days for New England Patriots fans as their three-time Super Bowl-Champion tight end Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement from the game football. Gronkowski had a phenomenal career with the Patriots and is most likely well on his way to the Hall Fame. Interestingly enough, there are rumors that Gronkowski will transition to the WWE and eventually become a wrestler. While this would be an interesting development indeed, there is no evidence to back up those claims. At least not yet anyway.

Regardless, Gronkowski somehow found his name mentioned in a pretty derogatory way during WWE Monday Night Raw last night. Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush were trash-talking Finn Balor when Rush mentioned Gronkowski’s recent retirement.

“Now you are gonna be forced to leave the game as a beaten, broken, hot piece garbage like Rob Gronkowski,” Rush said to Finn

Considering the fighting words from Rush, perhaps we will see Gronkowski in the ring soon so that he can defend his honor. Who knows, maybe this was all an elaborate scheme to introduce Gronk into the WWE storyline.

On Sunday, the former Patriot took to Instagram to thank the fans for all their support over the last nine years.

“Thank you for everyone accepting who I am and the dedication I have put into my work to be the best player I could be,” Gronkowski wrote. “But now its time to move forward and move forward with a big smile knowing that the New England Patriots Organization, Pats Nation, and all my fans will be truly a big part my heart for rest my life. It was truly an incredible honor to play for such a great established organization and able to come in to continue and contribute to keep building success. To all my current and past teammates, thank you for making each team every year special to be apart . I will truly miss you guys. Cheers to all who have been part this journey, cheers to the past for the incredible memories, and a HUGE cheers to the uncertain whats next.”
