Following its release in January 2016, Rihanna’s eighth studio album “ANTI” remains a Billboard staple four years straight.
If an artist’s album can be seen as an investment, is it really any surprise that Rihanna hasn’t delivered a full-length project in four years? After all, Rih’s eighth studio album ANTI, which boasts singles like “Love On The Brain,” “Higher,” and the Drake-assisted “Work,” has remained active on the charts since its release on January 28th, 2016.

In fact, is has ficially spent the past two-hundred-and-twenty-four weeks on the Billboard 200, a gargantuan run that truly speaks to the scope Rihanna’s appeal. Clearly, many have found continued enjoyment in the album to the point where Rihanna can effectively dip from the public eye and still remain culturally relevant, not unlike her “Loyalty” collaborator Kendrick Lamar.
Highlighting Rihanna’s latest achievement is none other than Ebro Darden, who took to Instagram to praise ANTI’s success with a salute. Of course, it goes without saying that fans have remained hopeful for a ninth album, though Rihanna has remained coy in that department. Given how an artist her stature generally likes to take their project on the road, it wouldn’t be surprising for her comeback to be mounted once the COVID-19 pandemic begins to settle down. In any case, RiRi’s continued chart dominance proves that there’s really no rush, and those jonesing for a musical fix can revisit ANTI in the interim.
