The sexual abuse allegations made by former B2K member Raz-B against Chris Stokes and Marques Houston have resurfaced amid rumours about the latter’s fiancée.
After rumours began spreading that Marques Houston had been dating his fiancée since she was a minor, past allegations against him involving minors started to resurface again. This week, after it was brought to the public’s attention that 38-year-old Marques’ fiancée, Miya Dickey, is reportedly 19 years old, folks began speculating just how long they’d known each other and when they actually got together. One Twitter user not only denounced their alarming age difference, but also claimed that Marques has known Miya since before she turned 18, and pointed out that they made their relationship public shortly after she became a legal adult.
Other users began connecting the dots, alleging that Maiya was a teen runaway and that his close friend, Chris Stokes, had taken her under their wing, and considered her to be his daughter.
While this alleged story was disturbing enough, it led many to recall the allegations made by former B2K member and Chris’ cousin, Raz-B, against both Marques and Chris. Raz-B has maintained for years that Marques and Chris molested him when he was a teenager. He was publicly mocked for coming forward.
In 2010, Raz released footage a phone call between himself and former label-mate Quindon Tarver, in which they both detail the alleged abuse they faced at the hands these two men.
Although he does not address the resurfaced allegations directly, Marques did issue a response to the claims that he dated his fiancée while she was still a minor. Check out his full statement below:
