Leave Nicki Minaj alone.
On Thursday (July 11), Cardi B responded to Jermaine Dupri’s controversial comments about female rappers by defending her own lyrical content and sharing her support for other female MCs including Tierra Whack, Kamaiyah, Rapsody, and Chika.
After the comments sparked a debate about women in hip-hop, Nicki was brought into the conversation by one Twitter user, who accused her not supporting her fellow females.
“Nicki would never,” tweeted @WarrenLamar12. “I’m so here for Cardi supporting these women in the industry. Y’all love to act like the only female MCs are the ones taking f they clothes. There is a diversity artists out there. You just have to be willing to find them and then support them!”

Nicki saw the tweet and fired back. “Clown tingz. Keep my dick out y’all mouth. 6 days ago NICKI started posting DIFF FEMALE RAPPERS ON HER PAGE,” she said before seemingly throwing shade at Cardi B. “Btchs who write raps & respect an authentic come up. Yesterday y’all started this clown convo.”
She also told the person to remove her from the discussion, while declaring herself the GOAT. “Don’t fkn mention me. I’m the fkng GOAT. anybody who don’t know that middle finger],” said Nicki.
Her comments follow Jermaine Dupri’s remarks about today’s female rap stars. “I feel they’re all rapping about the same things,” the So So Def producer told People TV. “I don’t think they’re showing us who’s the best rapper. I think they’re trying to show–for me, it’s like strippers rapping.”
He added, “At some point, somebody’s going to have to break out that mold and just show us–talk about other things, just rap about other things besides that.”
Cardi B weighed in with her own two cents. “First all, I rap about my pussy because she’s my best friend,” said the “Press” rapper. “And second all, it seems like that’s what people wanna hear.”
She also blasted fans and bloggers for not supporting female MCs who don’t rap about sex. “There’s a lot female rappers that be rapping they ass f and don’t be talking about they pussy and don’t be talking about getting down and dirty, and y’all don’t be supporting them,” she said. “Y’all don’t be supporting them and they be mad dope. These bloggers don’t support them, they don’t give them the recognition, so don’t blame that shit on us when y’all not the ones that’s supporting them.”
