Justin Timberlake joins forces with Alicia Keys in the “Morning Light” on a standout track from his just-released album Man the Woods.
Backed by soulful samples and acoustic guitar, J.T. kicks f the song with a sweet ode to his wife Jessica Biel. “Every time there’s a new sunrise, I open up my eyes,” he sings. “And I say to myself, ‘In a whole wide world guys, / I must be the luckiest alive’ / ‘Cause I’m in love with you.”
A. Keys follows shortly after with her own dedication to her husband Swizz Beatz. “I can’t even get out bed,” she sings. “With the thoughts you putting in my head / So I say to myself ‘I don’t even wanna try’ / Every part me is paralyzed / ‘Cause I’m in love with you.”
The tender anthem appears on Man the Woods, which dropped on Friday (Feb. 2). Keys celebrated their collaboration, writing: “Congrats to my friend @jtimberlake on ‘Man the Woods’ !! Blessed to be a part this journey you’re on.” J.T. responded: “Love love love to you, sis!!!! You saaaang on that!!”
