Method Man Struggles to Breathe Due to High Altitude at X Games

This past Saturday (Jan. 27), Method Man and his right-hand Redman rocked the stage at the 2018 X Games in Aspen, Colo., and we're willing to bet fans were more than a little happy with their performance. That's a good thing, too, because Meth wasn't—at least, with the conditions surrounding it.

Speaking with ESPN before what was surely an epic show, the rap game veteran revealed that he struggled breathing due to the high altitude at the 2018 X Games. When a reporter asked how he was going to manage performing at 8,000 feet altitude.

"I'm trying," Meth revealed. "This altitude is killing me, you know? Hard to complete a sentence without taking that deep breath." It wasn't pleasant, but Method Man wasn't going to let that stop him. "It sucks, but you know, we still have that energy and we gonna turn up."

In other Method Man news, the rapper, who appeared in season one Marvel Studios' Netflix show, Luke Cage, recently signed on for another big role. On Jan. 4, the rapper joined the cast a forthcoming Shaft reboot. Davis Entertainment's John Davis and Barris are producing the film, which is slated to come to Netflix on June 14, 2019.
