The coronavirus pandemic has Meek Mill looking back at a recent health scare and wondering if it was possibly due to COVID-19.
Meek recalled a sickness he dealt with last December, noting he’s never felt so ill in a Twitter post on Tuesday (March 24). The Atlantic Records artist also said he never got a proper diagnosis for what was wrong but thought someone much older wouldn’t have survived the illness.
“I was extremely sick in December around christmas time with flu like symptoms… everyday I said to myself a older person cannot survive this! I lost like 15 pounds and could barely move!” he wrote. “I never been that sick.. a doctor never told me what it was.”

Meek raised his concerns just a few days after Styles P suspected he was unknowingly sick with COVID-19 in January. The LOX member shared his experience Twitter, describing how he felt a few months ago.
“I almost died in January,” he wrote. “And I never get the flu and if I do it’s a day or two . In January I was down for a week and lost about 8 pounds !! I had the rona !! It had to be the Rona !!!! I did mad black seed oil and went on a juice / tea diet and rested ! Go for it !!”
COVID-19 has already hit the Hip Hop community in some confirmed cases. Slim Thug and producer Andrew Watts announced they tested positive for the coronavirus while New Orleans’ DJ Black N Mild passed away after being diagnosed with the disease.
