Max B Drops 1st Single In 8 Years With Help From French Montana

New York, NY – In honor Max B’s 41st birthday, French Montana has spearheaded a new single titled “Hold On” featuring the incarcerated rapper. The track marks the first new release from the Wave Gods collaborator since 2011’s Vigilante Season.

With its club-friendly vibe and synth-heavy beat, “Hold On” allows each rapper to showcase their individual talents in a way that captivates its audience.

“You know that sound different through the speakers/Talkin’ ’bout the way the game need us,” French spits about Max. “Move Ye from the checks like adidas/Sneaker box, no sneakers/Gotta find new place, Blueface/Held the wave down for a decade.”

Max has been behind bars since 2009 after he was found guilty murder conspiracy and robbery charges. He was sentenced to 75 years in prison but granted an appeal.

During an interview with Beats 1 last month, French revealed he sought out Kim Kardashian’s legal assistance to determine if there’s any way his sentence could be reduced.

“Me and Kim was talking about getting Max B home from jail,” French said. “So, like for her to even reach out and do that I felt like that was powerful. A lot people don’t see things like that.”

In September 2016, Wiz Khalifa tweeted there was a chance Max could be out by 2022.

“Max B is coming home,” he wrote. “Sentence got shortened. Looks like the Gang will be working wit the Wave.”

It’s unclear if that will actually happen. In the meantime, bump “Hold On” up top.
