After returning in 2021 following a COVID-prompted cancellation in 2020, Lollapalooza has now unveiled its 2022 lineup, including Metallica, Dua Lipa, Lil Baby, Green Day, Machine Gun Kelly, and other headliners.
Higher-ups today announced the 170+ acts that are booked to play Lollapalooza 2022, which is scheduled to kick off in Chicago on July 28th. Additionally, tickets to the four-day event went on sale this afternoon, starting at $350 for the general-admission pass, $650 for the “GA+” pass, $1,500 for the VIP pass, and a staggering $4,200 for the platinum pass. Each of the passes remained in stock at the time of writing, and single-day tickets haven’t yet been listed.
As mentioned, C3 Presents’ Lollapalooza joined events such as EDC Las Vegas in resuming during 2021, contrasting popular festivals like Coachella (set to initiate on April 15th, 2022) and Bonnaroo (expected to begin on June 16th, 2022) that took off both 2020 and 2021. Lollapalooza’s 2021 billing included Miley Cyrus, Megan Thee Stallion, Foo Fighters, Post Malone, and Tyler, The Creator, to name some.
But the Lollapalooza 2022 lineup, for its part, features headliners Metallica, Dua Lipa, J.Cole, Green Day, Doja Cat, Machine Gun Kelly (who revealed plans yesterday for a 52-stop world tour), Lil Baby, and Kygo.
Jane’s Addiction (whose frontman, Perry Farrell, founded Lollapalooza) will appear at the music festival’s 2022 edition as a “special guest,” and The Kid Laroi, Glass Animals, and Charli XCX are likewise part of the Lollapalooza 2022 lineup.
