Lil Wayne Cancels Rolling Loud Set; Refuses To Be Checked By Security

Lil Wayne decides not to perform his headlining Rolling Loud set.

Shortly after Kodak Black was detained by police and kept from his Rolling Loud performance, Lil Wayne announced that he would not be going through with his headlining set at the hip-hop festival after security required that he go through a mandatory check before stepping onto the stage. Tunechi went on to make it clear that it was law enforcement and not festival organizers who enforced this rule.

To all my fans who came to see me at Rolling Loud, I’m sorry but I won’t be performing,” Wayne tweeted out. “The Festival Police (Not Rolling Loud) made it mandatory that I had to be policed and checked to get on the stadium grounds. I do not and will not ever settle for being policed to do my job and give you guys a great show.”

He went on to remind fans that he will be appearing at Miami’s Story nightclub and that he will be embarking on a tour this summer alongside Blink-182.

Weezy’s decision has added yet another inconvenience to the list for festivalgoers as the three-day festival’s opening night was plagued with rumors o an active shooter on festival grounds when, in actuality, a fight broke out causing attendees to rush festival grounds and create a stampede that injured several.
