Lil Dicky’s Star-Studded Single "Earth" Debuts In Top 10 On Billboard Hot 100

Lil Dicky’s new song debuts at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Lil Dicky‘s been in the rap game for a while, even working with some the biggest names in hip-hop before becoming a household name. However, the release his Chris Brown collab, “Freaky Friday,” which did not face any backlash from Chvrches, helped him reach a wider audience in America. Although he’s been relatively quiet on a music front since then, he made a major return with the star-studded charity single “Earth” which arrived last week. Now, the song’s made a major impact on the Hot 100, marking another hit for the comedic rapper.

Lil Dicky’s “Earth,” a song that’s meant to raise awareness for environmental issues, has hit the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single features a slew the biggest names in music such as Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Katy Perry, Adam Levine, and Ed Sheeran. The success the single is a strong indication that it could have the same sort successful fate as “Freaky Friday” which hit number one on the charts.

Speaking to Billboard, he expresses his gratitude for being able to do the song the way he did.

“I feel relieved that it’s finally out, but also very proud that we did this and are still doing this, together, as a group,” he said. “This song couldn’t just be one artist for it to have the impact it’s having, and this Earth can’t just be about one person having an impact either. We are in it together. The song feels like a microcosm that reality.”
