Mendeecees is looking to get out prison little sooner than he might have otherwise.
As you’re probably already aware, the Love & Hip Hop star found himself behind bars after being sentenced to eight years for trafficking heroin and cocaine. However, his attorney is scheduled to argue that Mendecees deserves a significantly reduced sentence because he was a minor-level player in a much larger organization.
He will bring that idea to an appellate judge later this week. In addition to that, he plans to note that the sentencing guidelines in New York state were loosened shortly before the trial, allowing judges more discretion to hand out shorter sentences.
