LeBron James’ Air Zoom Generation Wheat Sneakers to Re-Release

One LeBron James' most popular silhouettes will re-release this All-Star Weekend as a part Nike’s Makers the Game collection. Returning to retailers after a 14-year hiatus, Nike is bringing back the Air Zoom Generation in the popular wheat colorway.

Nike designed the wheat colorway after James told the Swoosh that he could play in anything, even work boots. The King debuted the shoes during the 2004 Rookie Challenge Game at All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. The boot-inspired colorway was able to spark quite the commotion that weekend, leading Nike to release the pair on a larger scale.

The 2018 version the coveted shoes feature the same aesthetics as the original drop form 2004. Dressed entirely in a wheat colorway, the sneakers feature hits metallic gold on the toe front, tongue and heel. Rounding out the pair is the wheat midsole that sits atop a gold specked outsole.

The Nike Air Zoom Generation in Wheat will release on Sat., Feb. 17 for a suggested price $225. Launching at select Nike retailers and accounts, the shoes will also be available for purchase on nike.com.
