Kim Foxx Calls On Extra Security After Excessive Death Threats


Kim Foxx is taking the necessary measures to protect her family.

Kim Foxx, the prosecutor who dropped all charges against Jussie Smollett and his alleged staged homophobic attack, has now called on a team security to protect her amid a serious amount death threats. “We can confirm that the state’s attorney has received threats to her personal safety and security, a number which have contained racially charged language,” an attorney from the Cook County State read

TMZ reports that Kim is not only afraid for her own security but also for her husband and four children. Her security team will be around the clock following closely behind each her family member as well as her.

“For many folks, the ending ( the Smollett case), the way it went, we’ll talk about it and learn from that,” Kim told the Chicago Tribune. “I don’t think it’s unreasonable to question … if you think there’s two levels justice.”

Kim detailed to the publicaiton how it’s been hard to explain to her children what’s the truth and what’s a lie considering her children are on social media. “They’re social-media creatures, and this thing is crazy,” she explained.

“The hardest part has been sitting with my daughters and dispelling rumors. … It’s like where’s the responsibility? So it’s been hard for them, harder for them than for me. Do not feel bad for me. I signed up for this. But we have to have a responsibility for truth, always.”
