Kid Cudi Dedicates "Pursuit Of Happiness" To Nipsey Hussle & Mac Miller At Coachella

Watch Kid Cudi’s stirring performance at Coachella last night.

Kid Cudi‘s performance at Coachella last night was a spirited affair but not in the sense the word is commonly used. Cudi’s reputation precedes him: he doesn’t get out much, but when he does venture out into the open world, he generally aims to please.

During last night’s Coachella performance, Cudi executed several functions the mind. For starters, the Cleveland natives serenaded the crowd with the first “in-person” rendition his new song “The Rage,” commissioned for Andrew Lockington’s Rampage soundtrack. He also performed a bevy the songs f the Kids See Ghosts project with Kanye West, the likes which you can stream below. Watch as Cudi incites every last concertgoer on the Coachella grounds to sing “Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1.” in unison, unburdening himself in the process.

Cudi managed another spirited moment with the devoted crowd, this time by invoking a moment silence in memory Nipsey Hussle, and Mac Miller, whose career arc and personal struggles mirrored his own to an extent.

“This next one, I wanna dedicate this to Mac Miller and Nipsey Hussle. And I want y’all to sing this shit as loud as y’all can, promise me,” Cudi asked the crowd before delving into his performance  “Pursuit Happiness,” dedicated solely to the two venerated rappers.

Bad Bunny, Playboi Carti, Blood Orange, Ariana Grande, and Nipsey’s close friend YG are set to take the stage on Sunday. Check out the action at the following link provided in part to facilitate all your live streaming needs.
