Keyshia Cole wants in.
The singer has set her sights on battling Ashanti in an upcoming edition Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Verzuz series.
During Wednesday’s Verzuz battle between DMX and Snoop Dogg, Keyshia popped in the chat to challenge Ashanti to an R&B showdown. “@Ashanti was goooood,” she wrote along with a series heart and flame emojis.

Ashanti has yet to respond to Keyshia’s challenge, but fans are here for the potential matchup between the R&B singers, who dominated the charts in the early 2000s. “No 🧢, an Ashanti & Keyshia Cole Verzuz would SLAP! Nostalgic as well….” tweeted one fan, while another added, “definitely need that ashanti vs. keyshia.”

Wednesday’s Verzuz showdown between DMX and Snoop was watched by over 2 million people on Instagram alone. Swizz and Timbaland have also partnered with Apple to simulcast each battle live on Apple Music and Beats 1.
The next Verzuz matchup has yet to be announced. The series has previously featured epic battles between Jadakiss vs. Fabolous, Beenie Man vs. Buju Banton, Alicia Keys vs. John Legend, Jill Scott vs. Erykah Badu, Nelly vs. Ludacris, and more.
