Kanye West Might Be Heading Back To Wyoming To Finish "Yandhi"

Kanye West is heading back to Wyoming for a no-distraction zone.

Kanye West‘s Wyoming sessions produced five albums that were released a week apart from each other between May and June. Mind you, it was also a strange time in the world ‘Ye where he was openly endorsing Donald Trump, made outlandish comments about slavery, and also aligned himself with right-wing pundits. On his quest to become a “free thinker,” the rapper squeezed out five albums from G.O.O.D Music and non-G.O.O.D Music artists including Pusha T‘s DaytonaYeKids See Ghosts with Kid CudiNasir by Nas, and Teyana Taylor‘s K.T.S.E.

Wyoming seemed to become a place serenity and focus for Kanye West, much like how he used Hawaii as the base to record My Beautiful Dark Fantasy. However, with Yandhi on the way, it appears as though he’ll be heading back to the mountainous region to wrap up the project.

G.O.O.D Music A&R and cousin to Kanye West, Ricky Anderson, appeared to confirm that Kanye was heading back to Wyoming soon. Sitting down for the  Off Beat podcast, he detailed his experience working on the Wyoming session.

“It was a lot work. Kanye built a little studio spot in his room, and we would all sit in his bedroom and work on music and shoot different ideas to each other,” he said. “The creative space there is really open and unique,” he added before detailing some the most surreal moments (i.e. seeing moose, and birds before randomly running into Nas in the kitchen).

Anderson did seem to reveal that Kanye is heading back to Wyoming to complete his next project.

“Yeah, we gonna do that again,” Anderson said before one the host’s asked if he actually was. “Ah, shit. I’m talkin’ too much,” he replied.
