Lil Wayne Gets An Apology From Birdman
Lil Wayne and Birdman are apparently back on good terms after a long, drawn-out beef over money and the release Tha Carter V. On Saturday (August 25), Baby gave a public apology to Wayne in front thousands Weezyana Fest 2018 attendees and TIDAL subscribers watching from their homes.
“It feels amazing to be home fucking with my son, I love that nigga to death,” Birdman said. “I don’t know what y’all know but I know what the fuck I know and I know how I feel about what I know. I knew this day was gon’ come but I ain’t know when it was gon’ come.
“But this nigga right here? The best nigga, the realest nigga, the illest nigga. And I wanted to apologize to my nigga worldwide to let ’em know that.”

Nicki Minaj Calls Travis Scott “Hoe Nigga Of The Week”
Nicki Minaj is not happy with the way Travis Scott rolled out Astroworld and has been calling him out over using his girlfriend Kylie Jenner and their daughter Stormi to get people to buy concert passes for a tour — with no dates scheduled.
She’s been outspoken about, what she describes as, the unfairness over the way Billboard is counting sales Queen versus the sales Astroworld.
Nicki also accused Scott’s team trying to sabotage her NICKIHNDRXX Tour with bad press at the call his co-manager Irving Azf. During two separate episodes Queen Radio, she dubbed Scott the “Hoe Nigga the Week” (as well as a “stupid fuck”), while Azf got the award for “Cock Sucka the Day.”

French Montana Donates To Uganda Health Clinic
French Montana believes healthcare is a right, so he’s donated $500,000 to a children’s health clinic in Uganda, where he filmed the music video for his multi-platinum hit “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee.
“Me coming from Morocco in North Africa, I feel like it should be a st spot for anyone that has a mother or a child,” the Morocco native told CNN. “I think that’s got to be one the worst things, not having the right healthcare. When I went to Uganda, I felt obligated to help].
“I feel like every woman and child deserves the right healthcare. It shouldn’t be a privilege, it should be a right.

Yung Pinch Explains How Positivity Drives His Success
HipHopDX editor-in-chief Trent Clark caught up with Yung Pinch to talk about how he’s maintaining his newfound success.
“I’m just always trying to be happy and peaceful,” the Huntington Beach native said. “It’s kind rare nowadays. It’s always a struggle to focus on music versus other things in life. I feel like music is my escape from all that. But at the same time, it’s crazy because when the music starts working, life gets crazier.
“You start to have new problems, new situations, new everything. And what you love starts to get in the way making music but making music is what got you here in the first place.”

Jay Rock: “I’d Have A Black Hippy Album Done In Two Days”
Ask Jay Rock and he’ll tell you he’s more than ready to start working on Black Hippy music. He tells DX he could see it happening in 48 hours, but a call to Top Dawg might need to happen to get it cracking.
“That’s an easy call right there,” he continued. “If we start on Monday, we’d be done on Wednesday and mixing it on Friday! When everybody’s on their downtime because everyone individually do their solo careers] and ain’t nothing wrong with that.
“So, if the world really want Black Hippy and the world can get Top Dawg on the phone, then it might happen (Laughs). Until then, we working, baby. Just keep hope alive!”

What Tragedy Khadafi Learned From His Beef With Marley Marl
Tragedy Khadfi grew up in the same Queensbridge, New York neighborhood as the legendary Marley Mal and because that, there’s a special tale that goes along with how he became part the Juice Crew and he shares it with DX in an exclusive interview.
“Yeah, it was automatic once he heard me,” he recalls. “But that was a whole process because it took a couple times for me knocking on the door, and before that every time I would go to spit, he would like brush me away. So, I did that about three times.
“Then I believe around the fourth time, I just started spitting and he just stood there listening. You know, Marley is not a really expressive person. He’s really laid back, but he was kind like ‘Yeah, come in.’ laughs] He told me I did my job at that level.”
