"Game Of Thrones" Spin-Offs "Moving Forward" Says George R.R. Martin

The stories Westeros continue.

The popularity  Game Thrones has only grown throughout the years. The HBO series is based on George R.R. Martin’s novels A Song Of Fire And Ice. As the title hints, the saga focuses on two things: dragon fire and white walkers. Now that The Night King has been dealt with, the only thing left for the main characters to do is unseat Cersei. Although it has been reported that one Game Thrones series was axed by HBO, George R.R. Martin reassures fans that there are still some spinfs in the works.

“Oh, and speaking television, don’t believe everything you read. Internet reports are notoriously unreliable,” Martin wrote a blog post. “We have had five different GAME OF THRONES successor shows in development (I mislike the term ‘spinfs’) at HBO, and three them are still moving forward nicely.”

“The one I am not supposed to call THE LONG NIGHT will be shooting later this year, and two other shows remain in the script stage, but are edging closer,” he continued.  “What are they about?  I cannot say. But maybe some you should pick up a copy ‘FIRE & BLOOD’ and come up with your own theories.” A new episode  Game Of Thrones is set to air tonight (May 5).
