Fox’s "Gotham" 100th Episode Will Transition Into New "Batman" Series


Jim Gordon’s time is winding down, but “Batman” is waiting in the wings.

After five seasons, FOX’s Batman prequel series Gotham is coming to a close, set to wind down on a poetic note: with a clean total one-hundred episodes. Fans can catch the two-part series finale on April 18 and April 25, and the network has made no secret what to expect. That is to say, he is the man, who uses the techniques a bat to navigate the streets Gotham, and clean them up accordingly.

The main series has largely followed detective Jim Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie) as he navigates the various rogues DC’s gallery, including Penguin, Riddler, Mad Hatter, and most recently Bane – who looks to be the focus the upcoming finale.

FOX has already begun stoking the Batman hype, taking to Instagram to provide a brief glimpse at actor David Mazouz in full bat-garb. Rest assured that Batman fans will not leave disappointed, especially given that it’s the superhero’s 80th anniversary this coming Sunday. “As Bane (guest star Shane West) enacts his final plan for Gotham’s destruction, Gordon rallies his former enemies to save the city. Then, Bruce’s decision to leave Gotham points him to his destiny, while devastating Selina in the all-new “They Did What?” episode  Gotham airing April 18th.”
