The rapper looks happy and healthy.
Months ago, news broke that Famous Dex was battling a drug problem. The rumors were fueled after the rapper looked as if he was under the influence on Instagram Live, then right in the middle the broadcast, he fell asleep. “I’m not going to lie, I was tired and high at the same time,” responded Dex to the outpour concern. With a number rappers losing their lives to drug addiction, fans were worried that if Dex didn’t change his habits, something terrible could happen.
TMZ later reported that the 25-year-old’s team was closely monitoring him and helping him to abandon all behaviors that were unhealthy. It looks as if their efforts worked, but because Dex took to Instagram to share that he’s quit doing drugs and living a sober life for himself and his loved ones.
“I just want to thank God,” the rapper said. “I don’t do Xans, lean…it’s over with, you know what I’m sayin’? God is good, God is great. I just want to thank God for everything. I want to thank my supporters, I want to thank everybody supporting me, everybody that know me. God is so good. I’m relaxed. I’m chillin’. I’m good. God is good, man. He’s great.”
He then points the camera to a nightstand full juices and snacks before putting the attention back on himself and saying, “I’m doing it for me and my children.” He looks healthy, happy, and hopeful. Good for him!
