Massaro is survived by her 18-year old daughter.

Former WWE superstar Ashley Massaro was reportedly found hanging in her Long Island apartment last week in an apparent suicide, according to TMZ Sports. Officials still have not formally announced the cause Massaro’s death, but ex-WWE star CM Punk recently called into WMGM and explained that he heard Ashley had taken her own life.

“Tremendously sad way to go,” Punk said (H/T TMZ) … “Thoughts obviously go out to her family, especially her daughter.”

“It’s May. It’s Mental Health Month … if you’re depressed and things aren’t going your way, there’s no reason to feel alone,” Punk added.

“Just reach out to somebody. Text a friend. Call somebody. There’s hotlines. There’s ways you can get help.”

The WWE honored Massaro with an “In Memory” video tribute during Sunday’s “Money in the Bank” PPV in Connecticut. She is survived by her 18-year old daughter, Alexa.
