#DXCLUSIVE: Myke Bogan Enlists Alex Wiley For "Honest" Single

Myke Bogan is preparing to release a new album titled Cult Beauty. Ahead the LP, the Portland-based rapper has teamed up with Chicago’s Alex Wiley to drop a collaborative single titled “Honest.”

“During the process creating Cult Beauty, I was actually going through an intense custody battle with my baby mom that led me to writing this song,” Bogan tells HipHopDX. “The first verse is basically breaking down some the smaller details that had taken place in our relationship leading up to the court date. Every word is true and even in some parts, my baby mom will be the only one that understands what I’m saying. At the end the first verse, I confess that I wish it could’ve worked out but now, because what you’ve put me through, it could never be the same.

“The second verse describes what one may have to realize when it comes to moving on and talks about what should motivate you moving forward. This song is everything I would tell someone that is going through what I went through.”

He adds, “Thanks to 2thirty5 for their amazing production and bringing Alex and I together on this masterpiece.”
