Diddy Remembers Craig Mack’s Unmatchable Energy

On Tuesday (March 13) the hip-hop community was shocked to learn about the death Craig Mack at the age 46. While many artists were quick to share stories and pay their respects to the Long Island, N.Y. rapper, it was Diddy who shared a beautiful statement about the late rapper and praise his energy.

"Craig Mack, you were the first artist to release music on Bad Boy and gave us our first hit," the hip-hop mogul tweeted on Tuesday night. "You always followed your heart and you had an energy that was out this world. You believed in me and you believed in Bad Boy. I will never forget what you did for hip-hop."

Diddy followed the tweet with another post, writing, "You inspired me and will continue to inspire us. We will always love you. #RIPCraigMack #BadBoy4Life." Diddy ended his string tweets with a clip Mack's verse on the 2002 "Special Delivery (Remix)."

The rapper also hopped on Instagram to post a photo the "Flava in Ya Ear" artist, captioning it, "Craig was very important to the Bad Boy legacy. Such a kind, loving and special individual."

According to reports, Mack died on on Monday (March 12) in a hospital near his home in Walterboro, S.C. Following the news, the rapper's close friend, Erick Sermon, said Mack passed away from congestive heart failure and had actually told friends six months ago that he was dying.

"We kind knew what was going on. He only had 25 percent his heart that he was using and when you would talk to him on the phone he would kind like daze f," Sermon revealed. "We knew he was dying."
