New York, NY – During a Tuesday (April 22) interview on The Zach Sang Show, “Old Town Road” singer Lil Nas X (once again) responded to Dave East’s criticism his viral hit. Initially acknowledging the rapper with a Tweet on April 18, this time he was more direct, noting “I do not give a fuck about what Dave East is saying.”
According to a Wednesday (April 24) Instagram story, Dave East thinks Lil Nas X responded correctly.
“You gonna ask the lil nigga what he thinks about what I say, he ain’t supposed to give a fuck what I say,” said East. “I don’t give a fuck about what nobody says.
“I couldn’t even get mad at him],” he added, noting that while he saluted him for doing his thing, he still thinks it’s a bad song. Though, he did blame the internet for blowing it out proportion.
“Internet tried to twist the whole shit,” he says.
East took to Instagram last week letting fans know his thoughts on the Billboard smash, stating: “I don’t know what the fuck is going on with Hip Hop; with rap and] I ain’t no hater but that shit is wack. With a cape on it! And super wack!”
