DaBaby is insisting that his past criminal charges and convictions are irrelevant to his current legal battle with a club promoter for allegedly dipping on a performance.
DaBaby does not see why the courts should dredge up his criminal past in his current legal battle with a club promoter, who is accusing the rapper bailing on a scheduled performance after allegedly assaulting a fan and leaving the premises. Nothing to Something Entertainment recently filed court documents requesting that DaBaby’s criminal history be presented to the jury in their $100,000 breach contract case in order to prove that he has a pattern illegal behaviour.
However, DaBaby fired back, insisting that his past criminal charges and convictions have nothing to do with this current case. He believes that “his criminal records wouldn’t be admissible at trial, would confuse the jury, and ultimately unfairly prejudice him” and lead the court to be “unduly influenced by his past.” A judge has yet to rule on the motion.

Nothing to Something initially filed the lawsuit last year after DaBaby allegedly attacked a fan at the Centro nightclub in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and promptly left the venue before a set he was contractually obligated to perform. The promoter claims that surveillance footage captured that night shows shows DaBaby and his body guards pummelling a fan unprovoked after the rapper was asked to take a photo. After they fled the scene, the event was cancelled, and the promoter was forced to refund a ton attendees.
They said that they had already given the rapper a five-figure payment prior to the show, but because he never made up for the performance, they lost out on a ton money. They are asking DaBaby to cough up $100,000 as a judgment, along with covering punitive damages, interest, and lawyers fees. According to court records, Donald Saladin, the alleged victim the assault, is now suing the rapper for personal injuries in a separate civil suit, as well.
