Cam’ron’s Longtime Girlfriend & Mother Of Their Son Has Reportedly Died
Cam’ron’s longtime girlfriend and mother to their son, Tawasa Harris, has reportedly passed away. Her close friend Latanya Marie confirmed the news Facebook on Thursday (November 21).
“R.i.p Tawasa… I didn’t sleep all night bc all the old memories that kept poppin in my head all the fun times we all had back in early 80’w/ my Cousin Teresa (r.i.p),” she wrote. “how she would bring me down the bottom to your house and we would go up to Southwest Philly. It was my first introduction to the the fast life – a.k.a the streets. You Definitely lived by the words. “Fly 2 I die”. Say Hello to Tree 4 me in heaven.”
The post included two photos Harris as well.
Cam spilt with his ex JuJu in 2017 and ultimately rekindled his relationship with Harris.
In 2018, he penned a lengthy Instagram post reflecting on their bond and thanking her for all her support over the years. In the caption, he explained meeting in junior high and why they initially split up. He also noted what an incredible mother she was to their son, Cameron Ezike Giles Jr.
“We ended up breaking up when I turned about 26 (I think) because my cheating, lying and trying to peruse a music career that she wanted nothing to do with,” he wrote. “She wanted me to go to school and we live a family life. But she understood my vision but she wasn’t going to be a part it.
“I just want to tell her thank you for having my back and being the disciplinary in our sons life. I didn’t have a father in my life so I could never tell my son no to anything. But because her our son had 5 full academic scholarship fers.”
On New Year’s Day 2019, they appeared to make their rediscovered relationship ficial Instagram, however, the Dipset rapper has yet to speak on Harris’ death publicly.
“Happy New Year from US,” she wrote. “Relaxing in bed all day. I put his phone on #airplanemode so none those calls come through.”
