Blu has joined forces with producer Damu The Fudgemunk for a collaborative project titled Ground & Water. The surprise EP includes eight songs with contributions by Raw Poetic, Yamin Semali, Cashus King, Shawn Jackson and Local Blacc.
“Like all my releases, most which are instrumental, I wanted the music to tell a story,” Damu said. “With Blu being the voice, he set the tone for us both to bring this to life.”
He added, “When you listen to the lyrics and digest the subject matter, there’s a lot depth in his words. I wanted to provide a similar depth in the music.”
