Miss Ross was the center attention, as she should be, for her star-studded, 75th birthday celebration. Throughout the day, celebrities, including her daughter and Blackish star Tracey Ellis-Ross, wore “I’m Gonna Win” t-shirts in her honor. The minimal design top was first worn by Diana Ross many years ago, and the company Phenomenal Woman recreated it for their latest campaign to show support for black women in the political arena.
The music icon celebrated her 75th birthday with a special concert at the Hollywood Palladium, and to top things f there’s a clip a wonderful moment with Beyoncé where she takes to the mic to sing Ross “Happy Birthday.” The Motown diva is lavishing in her moment as she stands in the center the crowd, nearly all which are capturing the scene with their smartphones. Ross twirls around in his shiny dress, and standing just to the right Bey, front row center, is none other Sean “Diddy” Combs himself.
Once Bey was finished singing to Ross, the 75-year-old grabbed the mic to give a speech gratitude and encouragement to onlookers. Ross rubbed a few people the wrong way with her recent statements about Michael Jackson, but it’s wonderful to see her enjoying another year—another day, even—with her loved ones.
