Battle Over Nipsey Hussle’s Daughter Draws In Child Protection Services

Nipsey Hussle’s daughter, Emani, is interest to Child Protection Services.

Recently, we reported on an ongoing battle over Nipsey Hussle‘s only daughter, Emani. A request was placed by Hussle’s sister, Samantha Smith, to become the 10-year-old’s legal guardian so the youngster could remain close to the rest her family. The legal documents revealed the reason underlying Smith’s decision was that she believed Emani’s birth mother was not suited to care for the child. Moreover, the battle soured as Tanisha, Emani’s biological daughter, was not notified Samantha’s actions despite holding legal grounds to defeat it. And since then, the legal battle intensified with both Nipsey’s mother and brother getting involved in the ordeal. Samantha’s legal guardianship request was also denied

As such, new reports by The Blast now indicate the Department Children and Family Services has taken a special interest in the young girl. The latter is assumed to be so every legal decision made is in the child’s best interest. The DCFS alleges they want to ensure Emani is placed in the best home possible. Considering Nipsey Hussle did not leave a will behind prior to his death, the involvement an impartial third party was likely. As now, the child’s birth mother has not clapped back in any way, but further details are to be expected with the court hearing occurring soon.
