As reported by Complex, the film nearly ended up with a title that would have mildly spoiled the entire thing. After the events Infinity War, so many fans the Marvel Cinematic Universe were waiting to see how the journey would end for the Avengers. After over twenty films and hours content to sift through, the majority us were hoping that Thanos would be defeated. You may recall that before the film was released, the title was hinted through a behind-the-scenes shot, which spelt out Endgame in blank space. The producers would have had to plan out that image a lot differently if they had gone with the original title.

Before settling on Endgame, the Russo Brothers have revealed that they considered going with a different title for the ultra-popular film, which has already surpassed Titanic to become one the highest-grossing movies all time. The original plan was apparently to keep Infinity War as the title, separating it as “Part 2” but another idea was to rename it as Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet, which was previously revealed by Zoe Saldana as an accidental slip-up. If ever you spent some time on the Marvel Studios subreddit, you know that this was a popular choice for fans but Endgame turned out just fine in the end.
