Your Old Droog brings the theatrics with his latest featured presentation, Movie, his latest studio album.
The soundtrack is lead by the Madlib-produced “DBZ” featuring Method Man and Denzel Curry, followed by the Conductor Williams-laced “Mercury Thermometers“, and the most recent, “I Think I Love Her“, produced by Ohbliv.
Your Old Droog handles the majority of the project throughout the 18 tracks, but taps in some heavy producers including Just Blaze (“Success & Power”), Harry Fraud (“How Do You Do It?”, “Mantra”, “A Damn Shame”, “Rollout”), and more. Madlib returns behind the boards for the final track “Care Plan” featuring a rare appearance from Yasiin Bey.
Movie marks Droog’s first studio album since 2021’s Space Bar. Since then, the Ukrainian-born and Brooklyn-based rapper released his Yodney Dangerfield EP last year and a slew of projects throughout 2022 including Yod Stewart EP, Yod Wave EP produced by Nicholas Craven, Tha Wolf On Wallstreet 2 with Tha God Fahim, and more.
