Eminem lays his alter-ego to rest on the Detroit rapper’s twelfth studio album, The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).
The album is packed with 19 tracks including the whimsical and lyrical “Houdini” and the bar-heavy follow-up “Tobey” featuring fellow Detroit rappers Big Sean and BabyTron.
Other tracks include “Renaissance”, “Habits”, “Trouble”, “Brand New Dance”, “Evil”, the Dr. Dre-produced “Lucifer”, “Road Rage”, and “Guilty Conscience 2” among many others. Guests include JID, Skylar Grey, Bizarre, Ez Mill, Sly Piper, White Gold, and Jelly Roll.
The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) is Eminem’s first solo album in over four years following 2020’s Music To Be Murdered By. In 2022, the Detroit rapper kicked off the year with a performance at the Super Bowl, inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. He also released new music including “From The D To The LBC” with Snoop Dogg, the Cee-Lo Green-featured “The King & I” off the Elvis motion-picture soundtrack, and dropped his latest greatest hits compilation, Curtain Call 2.
Since then, Em has made a few guest appearances on various records from Dr. Dre (2022) and EZ Mil (2023) to Juice WRLD (2023) and Lyrical Lemonade (2024).
