Album: Beyonce ‘Cowboy Carter’

Act II

Beyonce is riding through the Country music era with her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter, the second installment of her ongoing trilogy series.

Powered by her recent double-release featuring “16 Carriages” and the hit “Texas Hold ‘Em”, Beyonce explores her southern roots and shares her country influences. The Houston-native saddles up with a whooping 27 tracks including “American Requiem”, “My Rose”, “Bodyguard”, “Daughter”, “Flameco”, “Oh Louisiana”, “Riiverdance”, “Desert Eagle”, and “Amen” among others.

Guests include Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, Willie Nelson, Willie Jones, Brittney Spencer, Reyna Roberts, Tanner Adell, Linda Martell, Shaboozey, and Tiera Kennedy. Beyonce’s youngest daughter, Rumi Carter also makes a cameo on “Protector”.

“This album has been over five years in the making,” says Beyonce in a lengthly post on Instagram. “It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive.

“Act II is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work. This ain’t a Country album. This is a “Beyoncé” album. This is act ii COWBOY CARTER, and I am proud to share it with y’all!

Cowboy Carter is the follow-up to her 2022 chart-topping album, Renaissance, also referred to as Act I.
