Pop Smoke would have turned 21 on Monday (July 20), and his peers are making sure to celebrate his life in his absence.
To commemorate Pop’s special day, his team released the deluxe version his debut effort Reach For The Stars, Aim For The Moon. The project comes just three weeks after the original dropped on July 2, and features 15 new tracks with appearances by the likes Young Thug, Gunna, Jamie Foxx, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and more. Supporting both the project and his lost homie, A Boogie laid claim to the King New York title in a social media post but noted there would be two if Pop was still here.
“I’m the king New York and on God if Pop was alive it would been two us,” he wrote with a photo himself in the studio with the late Brooklyn rapper. “Go check out Pops new deluxe out now! #HBTL”
Quavo, who appears on the original version the album, shared a photo him and Pop eating to send his birthday message.
“Happy 21st Bday To The Woo,” he wrote. “Miss U Kid.”
Quavo was close with Pop and ten gave him game, and recently expressed remorse over not touching on the topic Airbnb travel in their many conversations.
“I ain’t put him up on game about the Airbnbs and stuff like that,” Quavo said in an interview with Complex. “I feel like I would have helped him. Nobody’s got a timeline on their schedule, so you can’t even say that, but I just miss my bro. I felt like if I was around, or near the spot, I could have done something. I don’t want nothing to happen to my partners who I’ve been around and who I’ve given advice to. That’s my guy, man. I miss my boy.”

As previously reported, Pop Smoke was shot and killed by would-be robbers in February after he accidentally shared the address to the Hollywood Hills Airbnb he was staying in on social media. On July 13, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s fice announced charges against two adults and two juveniles for his murder.
The two adult men, Corey Walker, 19, and Keandre Rodgers, 18, have been charged with murder occurring during the commission a robbery and a burglary, which makes them both eligible for the death penalty or life in prison without parole.
