Cardi B and Offset threw a lavish baby shower to celebrate their first child together.
Shortly after their secret marriage was revealed, the superstar couple hosted their “Bronx Fairytale”-themed baby shower in Atlanta on Tuesday (June 26) ahead their daughter’s arrival next month.
Offset documented the extravagant festivities on Instagram. In addition to dancing ballerinas and pink balloons, there was a Bardi Baby Book Library with children’s books and even a Bardi Baby Bodega stocked with items including baby bottles, blankets, and paper towels.
Friends and family including Monica and Cardi’s sister Hennessy Carolina were among those who helped the couple celebrate in style. Cardi danced to Calvin Harris, Frank Ocean, and Migos’ “Slide” as Hennessy rubbed her baby bump. The couple entered to the sounds a band and Offset showered his queen with kisses.
“Congratulations @fsetyrn & @iamcardib,” said Monica. “You did this love thing the best way!! YOUR WAY!! May God Bless you & your bundle joy!!”
During a recent cover story for Rolling Stone, Cardi shared her plans for a “lit” baby shower. “My baby shower’s not starting at no 5:00. My shit is going to start at 9 p.m. because that’s how I celebrate, that’s how Caribbean people celebrate,” she said. “I don’t like baby showers that be at 5 p.m. in the backyard, cooking, eating hors-d’oeuvres. Nah. Shit, I might even drink some red wine!”
