Twitter and Instagram make it easy for people to say what ever they want, but Desiigner is learning the hard way that you have to be careful with what you say.
According to a report from TMZ, the "Liife" rapper has been hit with a defamation lawsuit after he put a woman on blast on Instagram in August, calling her a fraud. Jessica Brown says she helped Desiigner's sister, Siera Shelby, get into Howard University, only to be called out by the rapper on social media.
"THIS GIRL IS A FRAUD," Desiigner wrote on IG. "TRIED TO SCAM ME INTO PAYING FOR MY SISTER TO GET INTO HOWARD UNIVERSITY AND NOW SHE IS TRYING TO HOLD MY SISTERS BELONGINGS. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HER AND HER COLLEGE SCAMS!! WARNING STAY FROM THE SCAMMERS @ddaddys_girl202 @colleegegurljb."
Brown is the president a company called College Gurl, which educates young people on how to pay for college. In addition to helping Desiigner's sister get into college, Brown also helped Shelby obtain a storage unit while she was at Howard.
Shelby reportedly left the school and according to Brown, also left her belongings behind in the storage unit. Brown says she tried to return what was in the unit but Shelby reportedly didn't want it. That's when Desiigner hopped on social media and put her on blast.
Along with suing the "Panda" rapper for defamation, Brown is also suing him for invasion privacy.
While fans continue to wait for Desiigner's debut album Life Desiigner, the rapper reportedly has a project with PnB Rock in the works. In November, PnB said a joint project from the two was coming soon.
