Eminem certifies his greatest on his on his new single, “Tobey”, featuring his fellow Detroit rappers Big Sean and BabyTron.
Inspired by actor Tobey Maguire, who played Peter Parker and Spider-Man, BabyTron sets it off with his witty opener. “Upped in the bitch, you can keep what you owe / Granny told me, “Boy, you reap what you sow” / Do the most, we over, even the score / Steady on the run, glued his feet to the floor.”
Big Sean picks up the pace with his double-time flow, spitting “I put all of my heart and my soul in it / I met you in person, you so different / I can’t listen to you for a whole minute / Took a blood test, ain’t no ho in it / Watch your motherfucking mouth ‘fore I go in it,” before Slim Shady questions your top 5.
“Ain’t feelin’ your top five favorite rappers / So I know they ’bout to be pissed at me / But this, to me, is a mystery / How rappers I’ve already ripped could be / Higher up on a list than me / Yet here I sit on your list though at five, which still was fine.”
“Tobey” is the follow-up to “Houdini” and are both off off the Detroit rapper’s upcoming album, The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).
