Kanye West gets into the mix and adds a new verse to Future and Metro Boomin’s much-talked about record, “Like That”.
First teased during the Chicago rapper’s appearance on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast, the artist now known as Ye takes a few shots at Drake and J.Cole.
In Kendrick Lamar’s defense, Ye raps, “Kendrick spazzed out, that was thе best he gave ya / But y’all knew y’all had to save the best for later,” before taking aim at the remaining Big 3.
“Y’all so out of sight, out of mind, I can’t even think of a Drake line / Play J. Cole, get the pussy dry / Play this shit back a hundred-thirty times.”
The original, which features Kendrick Lamar, currently remains at No. 1 on the Billboard 100 charts and is featured on Future and Metro Boomin’s chart-topping album, We Don’t Trust You. The controversial record has since sparked a series of events from Drake’s “Push Ups“, J.Cole’s response and apology to Drake’s most recent “Taylor Made Freestyle“, which featured AI verses from Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg.
Ye’s “Like That (Remix)” is his first music since his and Ty Dolla $ign’s collaborative and chart-topping album, Vultures 1 in February. The pair are working on the follow-up, Vultures 2.
