SoundCloud President Michael Weissman will become chief executive officer on January 1st, 2021. The company’s exiting CEO, Kerry Trainor, will remain on the board of directors.
Capitol Music Group
Former Warner Music Group marketing exec Larry Mattera has been named general manager of Capitol Records as well as executive vice president of Capitol Music Group.
Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
FCC Chairman Ajit Pai has announced that he will step down from the post on January 20th, 2021.
Barclays Center
Barclays Center manager and operator BSE Global has added five professionals to its corporate roster and the Barclays management team. First, TMP Worldwide veteran Emerson Moore has been hired to fill the executive vice president and chief people officer roles at BSE Global.
Next, the Brooklyn Nets parent company has named former Alibaba exec Peter Stern chief financial officer (CFO). Former Wright Fit higher-up Jackie Wilson, II is now BSE’s executive director of diversity and inclusion.
Lastly, former Fox Theatre COO Adina Erwin has become general manager of the Barclays Center itself, while longtime Levy Restaurants exec Christopher Giacalone will serve as the arena’s vice president of hospitality.
Warner Music Group
Warner Music Group has tapped author, former Georgia Tech professor, and former WarnerMedia director of data science Dr. Kobi Abayomi to fill the newly created senior vice president of data and analytics position.
Additionally, WMG has promoted Simon Robson, who’s been with the company for more than two decades, to president, international, recorded music.

Melos Publishing has hired Brooklyn Music Experience founder Josh Rabinowitz as a U.S.-based consultant.
