Travis Scott Gives Fan Money For Mother's Funeral During $100K Twitter Giveaway

Those who weren’t blessed with a few coins from Travis Scott during his $100,000 Twitter giveaway this week can be happy to know some it went to a good cause.

Days after the chart-topping artist made the announcement, a handful fans have come forward to reveal they were one the lucky few to receive cash from the Astroworld creator. Although it’s unclear if Scott spent the entire $100,000, one fan — Peter Valdriz — received $800 from the musician to help cover costs for his mother’s funeral.

Valdriz told TMZ his 51-year-old mother passed away last week due to complications from a brain virus.

“For not much but hope can help,” Travis Scott wrote in a message that accompanied his $800 gift to Valdriz.

In return, Valdriz fered his thanks to Scott.

“Knowing that someone is out there trying to help us during this difficult time means the world to us,” Valdriz said while speaking to TMZ. “I personally want to thank Travis Scott for really making a tough day for my family into a day we can cherish.”
