Jersey City, NJ – This coming 4th July will be a Snoop Dogg meets Jersey City affair.
Mayor Steven M. Fulop is rolling out the blue carpet treatment for the legendary rap star for his fifth annual July 4th festival on the Hudson Waterfront to celebrate Independence Day.
Backed by a carnival-style presentation, branded 50STAR FIRESHOW, and Private Internet Access stware, Snoop has been recruited to headline the Private Internet Access stage for a 200,000-person audience that outlines the Hudson River Waterfront and surrounding Harborside area.

And the festival will be free!
“I think the Jersey City side Hudson River is going to be the place that people want to be for the 4th July this year. Period. Between Ellis Island, the Statue Liberty, Grucci, and Snoop, we are raising the bar” Mayor Fulop exclaimed in a press release. “Private Internet Access has been a synergistic partner. Keeping the residents the City secure is clearly a priority and by adding the PIA technology which allows people to shield their IP address, protecting families from identity theft is just another example this initiative.”
The Hudson Waterfront Independence Day Celebration will also become the scene the largest fireworks show in the Garden State thanks to world-renowned fireworks company Grucci (the Guinness World Record holder for “largest fireworks display” ever recorded).

The 5th Annual Hudson Waterfront Independence Day Celebration begins at noon on the 4th July. Spectators are encouraged to use PATH trains, NY Waterway ferry service from Manhattan, and NJ TRANSIT’s Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. Bags or backpacks will be subject to search, and attendees are encouraged to pack belongings in clear bags that show contents. Coolers will not be allowed.
