Steve Perry will reportedly perform with Journey at tonight’s (April 7th) Rock and Roll Hall Fame Induction Ceremony at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. TMZ claims the performance is happening after stating Perry has been confirmed to join the band on stage.
Nothing ficial has been revealed by any the band members or the Rock Hall as press time. The band is slated to perform three songs: “Lights,” “Separate Ways” and “Don’t Stop Believin’” with Perry on vox for at least one the songs.
Perry hasn’t toured with his former band since 1987, and last performed with them in 1991. Perry, guitarist Neal Schon, keyboardist Jonathan Cain, bassist Ross Valory, drummer Steve Smith and vocalist Arnel Pineda will be inducted. Early band members Gregg Rolie and Aynsley Dunbar will also be inducted.
HBO will broadcast the event on April 29th. Train’s Pat Monahan has been tapped to induct them.
