Logic works hard “Everyday” in the cinematic video for his Marshmello-assisted single.
The Alan Ferguson-directed short film features an overworked and frustrated Logic. He walks around an fice like a tired zombie, fulfilling cfee runs, data entry, and more grunt work for his insensitive and inappropriate bosses.
After becoming an old man and realizing he’s spent his whole life in the fice, Bobby recruits some friends, including Marshmello and producer 6ix to escape the fice. “How many years have we slaved away over this bullshit,” he exclaims. “What for? Is there anybody coming with me?”
Soundtracked by “Everyday” and “Warm It Up,” the crew plays basketball, skates, and parties without a care in the world. Following a skydiving mission, the Maryland rapper wakes up from the daydream.
The 10-minute clip, which Logic co-wrote with Ferguson, also pulls inspiration from 1999’s Office Space, a cult classic directed by Mike Judge. “Everyday” borrows many thematic and visual elements from the Ron Livingston-starring film, including a classic technology destruction scene.
Both “Everyday” and “Warm It Up” appear on Logic’s latest chart-topping project, Bobby Tarantino II. Up next, the Def Jam MC is heading out on “The Bobby Tarantino vs. Everybody Tour,” which kicks f June 8 in Boston.
