It’s day three the 2018 Artists To Watch series from Vevo dcsvr, and it couldn’t come at a better time for Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi.
Capaldi has had a meteoric rise since his single “Bruises” went viral earlier this year, but November has truly been a defining moment in his burgeoning career. Following the late October release his Bloom EP, Capaldi kicked f the new month with a supporting slot for British blues artist Rag’N’Bone Man on his European tour.
Today (Nov. 8) marks the unveiling Capaldi’s Vevo dscvr session, featuring a performance the opening track “Fade” from the Bloom EP Virgin/Capitol Records. Watch the impressive, powerhouse vocal performance below.
The dscvr Artists To Watch list is a globe-spanning collection 20 artists poised to breakout over the next year and it includes alums such as Sam Smith, Alessia Cara, Jorja Smith, and Maggie Rogers.
For the 2018 list, ten U.S. artists will be announced daily between Nov. 6 through Nov. 17 as a video package with a performance and exclusive interviews produced in-house by Vevo is released. The rollout also includes an ezine with behind-the-scenes photos and video content that can be found on the dscvr website here.
