King Combs' Pitch for 2018 Freshman

Before the 2018 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer, the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting has ficially launched, which means hip-hop's rising newcomers are vying for a spot on the 2018 XXL Freshman cover.

King Combs may have first gained attention for his royal hip-hop lineage since he's one Diddy's sons, but in the last two years, the ascendant rapper has established himself as a force in his own right. With a cool, calm and collected flow and a distinctly effortless confidence, Combs has floated over modernized throwback soundscapes on his way to loads and loads streams. On tracks like the Chris Brown-assisted "Love You Better," Combs speaks to the ladies while on "F*!k the Summer Up," he blacks out on the mic.

Now that you've watched his pitch below, it's time to vote. The 2018 XXL Freshman 10th Spot will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class. Go here to make your vote count for your favorite artist.
