Kanye West Signs Valee to G.O.O.D. Music

The G.O.O.D. Music family just got bigger. Rising Chicago rapper Valee has joined Kanye West’s label.

Label president Pusha T made the ficial announcement. “We out here,” said King Push. “Chicago. G.O.O.D. Music. Pusha T. Valee. Newest signee. Yeugh!”

Valee has already been backed by big names. He appeared on Chance the Rapper and Jeremih’s “Are U Live” f Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama: Re-Wrapped. At the time, Chano called him a “new real voice out Chicago.”

Valee hinted at the signing during a recent interview with MTV News. “I did speak with Kanye West on the phone though for about 20 minutes,” he said. “That was a wonderful experience. Made me want to work harder, definitely.”

“Very inspirational,” he added. “A lot about me and less about him. You know, it was a lot , like, he congratulated me on my move. I had just moved into a new place that I wanted like since high school, or the type place that it is something I’ve dreamt since high school. So he congratulated me on that. He congratulated me on a show that I had the day before our conversation. You know, just spoke on wanting to work and build and do cool stuff. So that in itself is enough to say, ‘All right, well, I’m gonna just continue working more.’”

Valee joins the G.O.O.D. Music roster, which also includes Big Sean, CyHi the Prynce, Desiigner, and Teyana Taylor.
